Hiking in the mystic and wonderful Land of Hoang Su Phi-DUP-DUP
Overview
Bordering China, Ha Giang is the northernmost province of Vietnam. Renowned for its natural beauty, the Dong Van Karst Plateau, and the stunning terraced rice fields of Hoang Su Phi, it also owes its fame to the diversity of cultures, customs, and ways of life of the 26 ethnic groups residing there.
Until recently, the province was off-limits to tourists due to poor road conditions and a lack of suitable accommodations. It was only opened to tourism a few years ago. The provincial authority has made significant efforts to attract tourists to Ha Giang, investing a considerable amount of money in developing road networks to access most of the localities, which had been deserted by tourists.
