Useful Information

  • Safety equipment: bring hiking shoes, a flashlight, mosquito repellent, sunscreen from April to November, warm clothing during winter (mid-November to early March), towel, and toiletry kit.

  • The best time to admire the terraced rice fields is from late June to August. However, the terraced rice fields in the high mountains of Sapa and Y Ty, cultivated in May and harvested before September, are less beautiful during the winter period, between November and April.

  • The train to Sapa is very traditional with a soft bed, but there are a lot of vibrations and sometimes it can be noisy and uncomfortable for some clients. Bring earplugs for a better sleep.

  • During the winter season (December to January), the weather is often cold and foggy early in the morning and late in the afternoon, and sometimes all day long on certain days.
