Day 1Hanoi - Sapa, Ethnic Villages (L, D)
Trek in the Muong Hoa Valley through terraced rice fields and the villages of Y Linh Ho - Lao Chai - Ta Van, meeting with the Black Hmong and Dzay ethnic groups.
Depart early in the morning from 7:00 am. You will arrive in Sapa around 12:30 pm. Lunch at a restaurant.
Afternoon: You have three route options:
Option 1: Hike to Cat Cat village, the land of the Black Hmong. You will pass by Cat Cat waterfall and a hydroelectric plant built by the French in the 19th century. Visit a Hmong family and learn about their daily life and culture.
Option 2: Short car ride to the Black Hmong village of Ma Tra, easy walk to the Red Dzao village of Ta Phin through a beautiful valley with terraced rice fields. Visit a Hmong family to better understand their life and culture.
Option 3: Transfer by vehicle to Y Linh Ho in the beautiful Muong Hoa Valley, enjoying beautiful views surrounding the Black Hmong village of Y Linh Ho. Follow a trail that crosses the stream cutting the valley in half, surrounded by terraced rice fields. On the way down, you will meet friendly Hmong women and children living in houses nestled in the valley. A leisurely walk along the Muong Hoa River, from the Black Hmong village of Y Linh Ho to Lao Chai. A brief stop at a batik workshop to observe the painting techniques of the Black Hmong Batik Art. Visit a Day family that manufactures incense cones before returning to the hotel.
Day 2Sapa – Fansipan Summit By Cable Car – Night Train To Hanoi (B, L, D)
Breakfast
7:00 AM: Transfer to the Sun World Fansipan cable car station. You will take the cable car for approximately 30 minutes. Admire the spectacular landscape of Sapa from the cable car cabin: terraced rice fields, the Hoang Lien Son mountain range, and pristine forest. Then, you can choose to visit the pagoda and climb the 600 steps to the summit of Fansipan or take the mountain climbing train (not included, available for purchase on-site) to reach Fansipan, the Roof of Indochina. Enjoy the sublime scenic panorama from the top of Fansipan before descending to the foot of the mountain. Transfer by car back to the town of Sapa. Lunch at a restaurant.
Take a walk to explore the town of Sapa: the cathedral, the lake. Transfer by car to Lao Cai. Visit a beautiful temple at the border with China and take a short tour of the Lao Cai market. Dinner at a restaurant before taking the night train from Lao Cai to Hanoi: SP4, Departure at 9:30 PM. You will arrive in Hanoi at 5:25 AM the next morning.
