Bike ride through Khmer villages and along country roads, providing the opportunity to meet locals and discover their daily lives. Visit ancient Theravada Buddhist pagodas and the old Huynh Ky house, built in the early 20th century in a distinctly colonial style. This house is a true architectural masterpiece with its relief statues and various wood carvings. Lunch at a local homestay.
Next, visit a coconut nectar company to learn about the traditional work of local residents who collect honey from coconut flowers. Explore the ancient Khmer Hang pagoda. Overnight on Chim Island.
Day 4Chim Island - Ben Tre, Thom Market – Saigon (B, L)
In the morning: Bike ride to explore eco-tourism on Chim Island. Participate in making traditional cakes. Continue to visit Thom Market, a well-known hub for coconut trade and home to artisan workshops for coconut fiber and activated charcoal. Discover the enchanting and lush landscapes of the Mekong Delta. Transfer to the pier, boat excursion to the Ben Tre canals, Ride a tuk-tuk through picturesque landscapes of rice fields, coconut groves, and vegetable gardens. Lunch at a family-run restaurant.
In the afternoon, take a short walk to immerse yourself in local life, followed by a brief rowing boat ride in the small canals along the palm groves. Then, return to the main boat and head back to the Ben Tre Pier. Return to Saigon.
