Itinerary
Trekking in Cuc Phuong National Park, exploring the Cave of the Primitive Man, and visiting the Primate and Endangered Turtle Rescue Center.
7:30 AM: Departure towards Cuc Phuong National Park. Located two and a half hours southwest of Hanoi, Cuc Phuong National Park was officially established in 1960 as Vietnam's first nature reserve. It's a lush tropical rainforest known for its rich and diverse flora and fauna.
Upon arrival, you embark on a pleasant and easy 2-3 hour hike through the tropical jungle. Treat yourself to breathtaking views of majestic landscapes, valleys, and pristine limestone mountains. Take a break near a giant ancient tree halfway through the hike. Explore the Cave of the Primitive Man.
Lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, which protects and conserves Vietnam's rare primates. Finish the excursion with a visit to the Turtle House Project.
Return to Hanoi around 6:00 PM, marking the end of the journey.
Total travel time in a 4.5-hour, 230 km journey.
