Morning: Depart in the morning towards the northeast of Hanoi, along the left bank of the Red River, to the Bat Trang ceramic village. Bat Trang, a 500-year-old community renowned in Vietnam for its exquisite ceramics, exports its products worldwide. Upon arrival, you'll encounter shops displaying both ancient and modern ceramics. Begin your excursion with a visit to the Bat Trang Pagoda, where locals pay homage to the ancient artisans who founded the village. Stroll through the village to a family workshop, engaging in conversations with artisans at work, observing their meticulous craftsmanship. Your guide will explain the entire production process, from clay selection and treatment to shaping, drawing, firing, and finishing the products.

Optional: Engage in hands-on techniques with local artisans to create your ceramic piece, with the assistance of a craftsman. Afternoon: Depart for Dong Ho village, renowned for its traditional craft of woodcut prints. Explore a family-run craft passed down through five centuries from father to son. Next, head to But Thap Pagoda—an ancient pagoda with beautiful architecture surrounded by fertile farmland. The pagoda features a rectangular shape composed of several rows of parallel houses connected by corridors on their sides. It's Bao Nghiem tower, uniquely built in white stones with finely carved elements, is a standout in Vietnam. Upon entering the pagoda, you'll find a genuine haven of peace and serenity. Return to Hanoi by the end of the day.
